Just dropping by to say hello
Hello everyone,
I now have about 11 days to go to my big move to Boston (via Tokyo) and I am excited! Almost everything that needs to be done has been done. I have the visa, medical insurance, accomodation, student loan, luggage, a new computer, accounting from 200 e.t.c. e.t.c. The only think I still have to do is sell the car!
Also of note, if you haven’t already seen one of those new ASUS eee mini notebooks then look one up. They look like a lot of fun! Why do I think so?
- 8.9 inches diagonal screen with 1024*600 resolution i.e. tiny buy you can see alot!
- 5.5 hours of battery life with the Intel Atom processor
- 20 gigs of disk space
- 1 gig of ram
- Linux Operating System
- Webcam built in!
- $550 (AUS)!
You can’t get more exciting than that. My only complaint is that it’s a little heavy for a tiny machine at 1.1kgs. To put it in perspective the Macbook Air weighs 1.35kgs and has a much bigger screen. I don’t know what to do with one but i think i’m going to indulge myself and get one
